More California Lawmakers Test Positive for Hypocrisy

First, we have California’s Dictator, Gavin Newsom, acting hypocritical by going to an $800 per person dinner party in posh Napa Valley. A dinner which totally went against the present California guidelines to fight the coronavirus.

And now we have yet another example of our California politicians acting rather stupid as always, if not ignorant and disdainful. Eight of our lawmakers happen to be aptly fighting Covid-19 and joining their constituents in this time of trouble…by taking a classy flight to Hawaii.

The reason for their travel to Hawaii? They are attending an “all-important” meeting hosted by the Independent Voter Project. You, the reader, might be asking yourself the same question we are…what is this to begin with? The best part is that some of these legislators have come out to defend their decision to attend this most urgent meeting by stating the conference included discussions on coronavirus policies.

Really? Seriously, can these people be pettier?

The conference began on Monday, the same day that California’s Supreme Leader, Gavin Newsom, announced that 41 of the 58 counties in the state would be placed in the restrictive purple tier of Covid-19.

The attendees of this masquerade were supposedly tested for coronavirus and were all found fit to join in. Oh, and there are strict Covid-19 rules.

Here is the list of the legislators in attendance:

  • Assemblyman Frank Bigelow (R-O’Neals)
  • Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo (D-Los Angeles)
  • Assemblyman Jordan Cunningham (R-Paso Robles)
  • Assemblyman Heath Flora (R-Ripon)
  • Assemblyman Chad Mayes (I-Rancho Mirage)
  • Assemblyman Jose Medina (D-Riverside)
  • Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio (D-Baldwin Park)
  • State Senator Andreas Borgeas (R-Modesto)

Republicans, Democrats, and an Independent is on the mix. What a great show of partisanship here. Each of them holding hands together as they travel abroad amidst a strict travel ban. When it comes to fixing California’s hardships, that is where the solidarity ends.

Next time we go out and vote, let us ask ourselves why this state is so ruined.
